Free Backlinks - Increase SEO with Free Backlinks

A big advantage to using free backlink accounts is that the search engines are looking more and more at how many unique inbound one way links point to your website. So how should webmasters take advantage of this? Well, there are thousands of free hosting companies who want to provide 50-100 MB accounts for your email address. Here’s some advice on creating as free back links as you can handle.

Look for the free stuff

This is as easy as running a search for “free web hosting” or any variation of the terms. Start tracking. There are so many free hosting companies out there that keeping track of all the data can be a big challenge. This is where your efficiency with a spreadsheet program can come in handy. Keep a spreadsheet of all the sites you find and create the following columns: “Name,” “URL,” “Login Page,” “My Username,” “My Password,” “My URL,” and “Content Type.”

Decide on the kind of Content you want and create it

Once you’ve established your prospects, you need to get to create the content. The good news is that this is the easiest part of the process. There are more than enough articles available for free (as long as you credit the author). Choose a topic that relates to your site and copy it.

Publish the Content

Now that we’ve gotten the basics established, the real trick is getting the articles published. Sign up for Yahoo, MSN, and/or Gmail accounts to use for registering. Once your email accounts are established its time to register on the sites where you want the content published. Be sure to keep track of all necessary information in case you need it down the line.

When you register you’ll most likely need to create “domain”. Use XYZ.whatever.com You’ll also want to find a sub-domain that corresponds to the content you’re creating. For example, if you’re submitting content on Real Estate, you should include the keyword “realestate” in your sub-domain.

Now it’s time to get published. Using the free website builder (or your favorite website building tool) create a site with roughly 4 – 10 pages. Make sure this includes a home page and your articles. In each article include keywords that pertain to your site and hotlink each page to your site. Using anchor text back links is a preferable alternative to the “click here for more info” cheap link. An alternative would be to include a footer link to your site. Repeat the process as many times as you like.

Now you’re on your way.

Get Indexed

So, what are we to do with all those little micro-sites that we spent so much time creating? Here’s what you do to make sure you get picked up by the Search Engines.

Step 1.
Submit your site to the crawlers and wait for them to notice. If your focus is in on Google, then you can boost page rank by connecting with AdSense and submit the site.

Step 2.
Create the PR chain - The important thing here is not to link multiple sites back to each other, but link each individual site one way only, and not in large amounts. The best thing to do is imbed links in the article text. This is called the anchor back link.

So here’s what we’ve done. We’ve increased our page rank by creating micro sites with solid content that’s relevant to our site. We’ve also increased our Google page rank by connecting our micro sites to Adsense, creating possible revenue streams in the process, and helped our SEO efforts at no expense.
